Accessibility.

This is a community website, and the community includes everyone. We work to keep it easy to use for people of all abilities, on any device.

Our commitment

Built to work for everyone.

The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce wants every visitor to be able to read our pages, find a member, sign up, and reach us without running into walls. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard most public organizations follow.

Here is what that looks like on this site:

  • You can move through the whole site with just a keyboard.
  • A “Skip to main content” link lets you jump past the menu.
  • Text and buttons are sized and colored for readable contrast.
  • Images that carry meaning have written descriptions.
  • Forms have clear labels, and errors are announced out loud by screen readers.
  • Headings and page structure are marked up so screen readers can navigate them.
  • If you have motion turned down on your device, we hold the animations back.

Being honest

Where we are still working.

Accessibility is never finished. A few parts of the site use tools from other companies, like the embedded map, and some content is added by our members, so a stray image or file may not be perfect yet. If you hit one of those spots, tell us and we will fix it or get you the same information another way.

If you need something on this site in a different format, a printout, a large-print version, or a read-aloud over the phone, just ask. We are a small local Chamber and a real person will help you.

Something hard to use? Tell us.

Your feedback is the fastest way we find and fix problems. It takes a minute and it helps the whole community.
